This incredible beach wedding was more beautiful than I ever could have imagined~
As most of us Oregonians know, days like this do not happen at the Oregon Coast all the time. It can be unpredictable and the rain can blow in at any moment. This evening was gorgeous! The house that hosted everyone was large and inviting with paths leading down to the beach to the ceremony site. The sun shone through at just the right moment and burnt off the fog, rolling it into the distance. Two beautiful people united on this day with their two beautiful children and family and friends on the beachfront. I was so blessed to have been able to travel to, witness and photograph it.
I loved the details of this wedding. There were dainty beach jewel sandals handmade by one of the bridesmaids for all the bridesmaids and flower girl, the brides daughter. The bride's barefoot sandals were by Sandals Amour. The flower girl dress was from Kutie Tuties. Handsome tuxedos for the groom, groomsmen and his son. Groom's tux by Yves Allure Men. Cake by Sugar Rush who always makes incredible confections. And last but not least were stunning florals by Cathy's Floral Creations.

This beautiful wedding took place on a rainy day the last part of November. A ceremony at Calvary Lutheran with dim lights, candles and piano set the mood. The bride Jessica was absolutely stunning in a lace gown...with pockets! Her husband was equally handsome in a dashing suit. The reception to follow was equally amazing with twinkle lights brightening the dark and incredible food by one of my favorite local restaurants The Vine.

This wedding in Colorado Springs and the portraits after in Garden Of The Gods were just a dream come true for me. Not only did this trip allow me to travel for photography it also allowed me to witness this gorgeous couple wed and I was able to connect with some wonderful old friends while there. The ceremony and reception took place at The Craftwood Inn which was quite cozy. It had lovely bride and groom getting ready cottages on the premises and served incredible food. Cody serves in the United States Air Force and Jennifer just had their first most precious little boy. I am so happy to share a bit of their special moments with you.

Masquerade balls were a feature of the 15th century and spread through most of Europe by the 17th and 18th centuries. Balls, gardens, plays, operas with an air of secrecy, were considered a little bit if not a lot quite scandalous. Lending an air of mystery in much different times, they still to this day evoke a feeling of clandestine love and emotions.
This styled session at Sweet Cheeks Vineyard nestled in the hills surrounding Eugene, Oregon was just the magical place for a bit of masquerade. Our model Heidi Marie Carpenter evoked just the right amount of mystery in her eyes. The purple and gold accented meringues were absolutely delicious. The handmade ring was to die for. The bouquet brought the smell of fresh herbs mingling with the passing rain storm that day. The props were bold and colorful. The gown had a frothy cascading train. Everything was perfection.
