This wedding day was one for the books with Walter and Malia at Wonser Woods Estate in Estacada, Oregon. I was fortunate to have already met these two prior for engagement photos. Our plans changed due to the Oregon fires that year and chased us north to the McKenzie River Lavender Farm at sunset. It was a gorgeous evening and I got a kick out of the fact that we ended up in a town called “Walterville.” This wedding took place during the holidays and I loved that it was on a Christmas Tree Farm! Estacada for those of you who don’t know is outside of Portland towards Mt Hood. On Halloween of this year I was t-boned in my car and injured. I was still in a neck brace and secured a good friend to help with the drive and we were off!
Getting ready began at their first home together. It was a beautiful cozy place to begin a life together and I loved it at first sight. I also loved Malia’s mother. The first thing she did was offer us a drink after the drive and a snack. Such a welcoming and kind woman and the rest of the day followed with amazing humans who were just the same! I learned that Malia had made her own hairpiece and they had done all of their own florals. All of the florals in fact for this day were grown in Hawaii by her family and brought to Oregon.
Their first look took place next door to Wonser Woods on a Christmas Tree Farm. We were gifted some beautiful Winter sunlight filtering through the pines. The smell of crisp air and trees was so refreshing. It was perfect! We stopped in a field on the way back for some more sunshine and a twirl. I will let the photos tell most of the story but the rest of the day was incredible. An indoor ceremony with floor to ceiling glass views. Lots of smiles and laughs throughout an incredible Hawaiian dinner (I ate WAY more than my share of Musubi. Musubi is my fav as it is what I ate every day when my hubby and I eloped to Hawaii). Then Malia danced a hula just for Walter. The end was some sparkler fun!
Here is a peek at my time with Mr and Mrs Webster~
